Rearabilwe was established in 2010 after a few community leaders and professionals within the townships around Tshwane felt the need to give back to communities after identifying social challenges. Since its formation in 2010, Rearabilwe’s mandate has been to assist government and its structures with poverty alleviation programmes directed at communities from disadvantaged families, orphans and vulnerable, females and destitute within the communities. Also affected are communities ravaged by substance abuse with youth as early as 11 years affected by substance abuse. Rearabilwe Community Development Project’s role within the social sector as a development centre is to help identify disadvantaged people and offer them opportunities through various means in its disposal.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, a Diploma in business management. She possesses vast experience in business development and is a successful entrepreneur. Her main functions at Rearabilwe include project management of sports programmes and ensuring there is proper monitoring of activities. She is also an assessor. Our Community Board Member is Walter Mbongolwane

He holds a Masters in Business Administration degree, a Bachelor’s degree in AgricEconomics, a Diploma in Credit Management, an Advanced Certificate in Health Management, a teaching certificate and is currently studying for a Doctorate in Business Leadership. He is also a qualified Assessor and Moderator with the ETDP Seta. He is a versatile individual with years of experience in business consultancy, public education and the NGO sector.      The Treasurer of the Board is Dr Sello Cecil-Ivor Malatji

Dr Malatji holds a BSc and a BSc(Hons) from University of Limpopo and an MbChb from Medunsa University. A medical practitioner and a businessman of note with his own professional practice, he has the love and passion for community development and social programmes. A board member of several bodies including Leratong Hospice, of which he volunteers his time leading management and treatment of both HIV and Cancer together with offering services to his own elderly support programmes assisting them with communicable diseases. He is a leader within the communities he serves and an advisor within several business programmes.

 Matshiame Maphike

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health Nursing, a Diploma in nursing Administration, a Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery and Certificates in Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision Testing. Known to be the youngest member of the board she is very optimistic about the Rearabilwe. She is passionate about Health Education and her excellent communication and interpersonal skills makes a valuable member of Rearabilwe.

The Centre Manager  

Charles Malatji is the Centre Manager of the Organisation. He spent years in the corporate environment as a senior programme advisor and has been a school principal with the Department of Basic Education as well. He holds an Honour’s degree in education, a Diploma in human resources management, certificates in management and has a wealth of experience in training and development. He is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Education Management. He is a qualified assessor and studying towards his moderator accreditation with ETDP Seta. Skilful in many South African languages, Charles is also well known for his professionalism, proficiency, meticulous nature and methodical approach. He is involved in many community projects and has strong business acumen.

Refilwe Makamo

She is currently completing her studies on customer service and management with University of South Africa. She has extensive experience in customer relations and project management. Partnerships and Substance Abuse Programme Manager

Sibongile Baloyi

She has a Higher Diploma in Travel and Tourism Marketing London Centre of Marketing and advent leader in Social and Tourism Marketing and Communications and Personnel Management. She has extensive knowledge and experience in Partnerships and Funding. She heads a Substance Abuse Aftercare Programme in partnership with LDAC, Municipality and DSD.

Lesego MatalaneLesego Matalane

She is a dedicated HR manager who has both the passion and skills to share her knowledge to team members and subordinates. Her skills in Financial Management places her at an advantage to manage both HR and Finance within the organisation. She is also qualified as a facilitator and trainer who specialises in Basic Finance Management and World of Works Programmes.

               Job Opportunities and Entrepreneur Development Manager

Brenda Mphelo

She is a hardworking leader who has passion for her work. She completed Computer Literacy and Call Centre programmes and also completed ECD Level 1 and 4 programmes and is currently training for both facilitation and assessor modules. She manages the Satellite Centre of Lotus Gardens which hosts a variety of programmes including a Job Centre and an entrepreneurial programme.
